The commission, headed by Justice (retired) Amir Hani Muslim, had passed an order on October 30, 2018 that if the company concerned failed to install its command and control system, it will not be paid. The Chinese firm is tasked with the disposal of garbage in South and East districts.

However, recently, the counsel for the Chinese firm submitted that all possible steps had been taken to make the system functional, but a time of three weeks was still needed. Justice Muslim extended the deadline by three weeks, and warned that the company would not be able to secure funds if it failed to operationalise the new system.
