Lahore: The commissioner and administrator of Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL) has approved three mega infrastructure projects for the city, according to news sources.

These projects include installation of LED lights in various parts of the city with an estimated cost of PKR 195 million, rehabilitation of circular road with an estimated cost of over PKR 140 million and the construction of a 6.3-kilometre-long road with an estimated budget of PKR 154.5 million. Reportedly, other mega-budget projects to improve city’s infrastructure have been put on hold for now.

Meanwhile, the staff of MCL is busy disinfecting various points of the city – on Monday (June 01), the workers disinfected some 6,138 points in Lahore – by spraying chlorinated water. These disinfected places include hospitals, bus stands, streets, markets, offices, main roads and public places to contain the spread of the coronavirus infection.
