Sargodha: The District Development Committee (DDC) recently approved three local government (LG) schemes for Sargodha at a cost of PKR 39.9 million, a news source reported. The committee also extended the completion time for 74 Public Health Engineering (PHE) projects by one year.

The approved schemes were recently launched under the Annual Development Programme (ADP). An official revealed that the DDC had approved funds worth PKR 25 million for these projects during the ongoing fiscal year.
As per details, the authorities concerned will spend the approved funds on:
- Construction of public park in Chak 47 NB
- Installation of filtration plant for public at Sargodha’s Commissioner Office
- Renovation & construction of a public-waiting area & toilets at the Commissioner’s Office
- Construction of Silanwali Assistant Commissioner’s residence & office

Work is also in process for 72 PHE schemes in the district. These include the provision of clean drinking water, soiling, drainage, sewerage, and other basic facilities for the public. The provincial government will spend a sum of PKR 2 billion on these schemes. Meanwhile, it has reserved PKR 370 million for this purpose in Financial Budget 2019-20.
