Islamabad: Hakla-DI Khan Motorway, Zhob-Mughal Kot section are expected to be completed by end of this year while Havelian-Thakot Motorway will be completed early next year, a news source reported, quoting an official of National Highway Authority (NHA). These are important projects located on the Western route of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The 285 kilometre Hakla-DI Khan Motorway and 81km Zhob-Mughalkot section are funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). These will connect Quetta with Gwadar through Khuzdar. It is also expected to significantly reduce the travelling time between different cities.
The Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan motorway will reduce the travel time from Islamabad to DI Khan from down to just two-and-a-half hours.

Work on the 120-km Havelian-Thakot Motorway is also going on smoothly and will be completed on schedule. The authorities described it as the early harvest project of CPEC.
