Karachi: The foundation stones of three flyovers were laid by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail in District Central of Karachi, as per a news source. These flyovers will be funded and supervised by the federal government and are being built at Sakhi Hasan Chowrangi, KDA Chowrangi, and Five Star Chowrangi.
The total cost has been estimated to be PKR 2.14 billion, and these flyovers are expected to be complete by March 2019. At the launching ceremony, Ismail briefed the media that Karachi’s progress and development is being prioritised by the federal government due to its status as the economic hub of Pakistan. He said that the development of infrastructure in Karachi would mean progress for the country as a whole. Mayor Wasim Akhtar was also present at the event, among other dignitaries.
