Lahore: During a crackdown against those selling contaminated water, Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed water filtration plants in Rizwan Garden, Gulshan Ravi, and Garden Town, according to a news source. The decision was taken after the Water Safety Team checked the quality of water at these plants.
Sharing details on the operation, the PFA Director General Capt. (R) Muhammad Usman said that the sealed units had not changed filters at the plant while they also didn’t have a Reverse Osmosis Plant. He also revealed that the filtration plants had been using PFA logos on their bottles.
Inspection of bottled water and water filtration plant is being carried out on the instructions of th Supreme Court of Pakistan.
