Lahore: The three-day ‘Pakistan Blooms 2020’ event commenced inside the Walled City’s Delhi Gate on Sunday, a new source reported. According to organisers, the initiative aims to celebrate heritage, culture and tourism initiatives launched in the country by the incumbent government.

Pakistan Blooms 2020 is to feature exhibits by international floral artists, a competition of floral exhibits, a magical floral extravaganza, and a gala dinner. The first day of the event was attended by the dignitaries that included foreign florists, guests, floral designers and members from the Floral Arts Society of Pakistan (FASP) across the country.

The event is a collaboration between the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA), the Lahore chapter of FASP, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), the Pakistan Horticulture Association, and the Lahore Gymkhana Gardening Club.
The day one of the event began with the delegates visiting the Wazir Khan Mosque where they received a presentation on ‘Floral Frescos of Masjid Wazir Khan’ by Noshin Sarfraz, who is a renowned horticulturist of Pakistan.
