Sargodha: After carrying out a rigorous operation against encroachments in the city, Sargodha Municipal Corporation has decided to impose fine on shopkeepers found re-encroaching the state land, reported a news source. In this regard, fine slips has already been issued to some shopkeepers.
The measure has been taken to discourage people from reoccupying state land recently retrieved from them. The corporation is looking to impose a fine amount as high as PKR 5,000 on those blocking the street and walkways with their goods.
This is not all, the corporation has a further plan in please to deal with habitual encroachers; the shop will be sealed after the shopkeeper is issued fine slip twice. The city district administration is not looking to bend its rules set against encroachment activities in the city and has affirmed that encroachments will not be tolerate at all.
