Karachi: The caretaker provincial Minister for Transport and Mass Transit Authority Col. (retd) Dost Muhammad Chandio has been briefed that the Red Line Bus will provide quality transport services to 35,000 passengers, according to a news report. The project has been developed with the help of Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Work on the project is expected to begin in March 2019 and will be completed in two years. This will be an environment friend project and the buses will be run on CNG. Special facilities will be provided for disabled people. Parking area will also be made available at each station.
Sindh government has contributed USD 93.42 million to the project, while ADB and other institutions will provide USD 476.93 million. The project is 29 kilometres long and 25 stations will be developed on it.
