Islamabad: Officials from Pakistan and India are expected to hold their third round of talks with regard to the development of the Kartarpur Corridor project on Wednesday, a news source reported. As per officials, the Indian delegation will host the high-level meeting on its side of the Wagah Border.

According to reports, both countries are expected to reach a consensus on the draft agreement pertaining to the project. Previously, Pakistan and India previously had organised their first and second meetings in March and July, respectively, to discuss the project.
Sources privy to the development said that the two sides had finalised 80% of the agreement during their previous discussions; with India responding to the offer presented by Pakistan.

For September 4 talks, South Asia and SAARC Director General and Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal will lead the Pakistani delegation. The meeting is scheduled to commence at 10am.
Technical experts from both countries have also held multiple meetings this year, the last of which was held on Friday at Kartarpur’s Ground Zero.
