FFC announced that it had taken this decision to help farmers. Reportedly, the high price of DAP had forced the said cultivators to use a disproportionate amount of fertilisers. This usage had impacted the growth of crops negatively. The prices have been decreased to ease the purchase of DAP.
According to FFC, DAP is the most popular phosphate fertiliser. It helps in meeting the important nutritional requirements of crops; thereby affecting their growth dynamics.
FFC expects that the lowered prices will boost the use of DAP and increase sales.
