The forensic report for the charred LDA building has put the authorities in a hotchpotch of mixed opinion. The forensic report’s release has revealed that the 7th, 8th, and 9th, floors of the building have to be re constructed, but that’s not what puts the authorities into a state of puzzle as the report also states that the other 5 storeys of the building are very weak and cannot stand the weight of new construction.
It needs to be noted that LDA alone is not responsible for approving re-construction, as other power players like board of governors, governor housing scheme are also vested with the power to decide the fate of LDA building. As yet the LDA authority has approved the demolishing of only three floors. Since all the parties haven’t come to a mutual decision, which is causing a delay in the re-construction of LDA building.
