The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) has efficiently responded to the rumours circulating about some group asking people to book plots in DHA Quetta – a project DHA never launched. The DHA has denied launch of this project and expressed its serious intention to crackdown on people running this website www.dhaquetta.com, and reportedly, fleecing people. Apparently, a Facebook page was also set up in this regard.
As of late, the Facebook page for DHA Quetta has been taken down while the website has also been temporarily suspended with a message giving an explanation about how they haven’t cheated on anyone by setting up this particular web domain and also that they never claimed to be representatives of DHA Quetta or Defence Housing Authority for that matter. According to news sources, the DHA administration was told in a high level meeting that some people are robbing people through this website, asking them to get themselves registered as DHA Quetta members.
The group, which calls itself an online real estate marketing firm, has denied these claims through a message that appears on its homepage, stating that the website and the Facebook page have been set up to market DHA Quetta projects that will be launched in the future. The message also reads that setting up this domain name is their right as many other companies run websites with domain names that can very easily be mistaken for official websites of DHA projects in Lahore and Karachi.
The website owners also denied the accusation of collecting payments from individuals and have asked website visitors to email details at info@dhaquetta.com if they have made a payment to them. According to the message displayed on the website homepage, the website operators have also contacted ISPR officials through an email and have shown interest in helping them resolve this issue.
According to them, the website and the Facebook page were set up to analyse the market response and that the firm is a legally established one, which respectively follows the rules. They further stated that they have suspended their Facebook page as well as the website until ISPR completes its investigation.
Well, you might find it strange for me to comprehend the situation this way but I believe it is now time that Quetta and rest of the cities in Baluchistan get attention from real estate developers. Baluchistan has suffered for well over a decade, but with Gwadar Port becoming a reality, this situation has changed.
The time seems ripe right now for builders and developers to launch their real estate projects in Quetta and other cities of Baluchistan, as the mega infrastructural development planned in the province under CPEC has created a promising environment. In addition to looking at the monetary aspects of initiating real estate projects in the province, the developers who do so will also render their faith in the CPEC and its future, which is pretty much the future of Pakistan.
