Thatta: Hyderabad Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Sharjeel Ahmed Kharal inaugurated the Safe City project in Thatta district that will help in maintaining law and order, control crime, and bring peace in the district, according to news published on Wednesday (September 15).

According to DIG, providing security and a safe environment was not possible without information technology. He, while talking to the media, appreciated the efforts of Thatta Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Imran Khan for maintaining policing high standards.

Sharing more details about the project, SSP stated that the Safe City is a revolutionary system to control crime, monitor, and traffic management. Under this project, CCTV cameras will be installed at sensitive places in the city and all policing facilities will be provided under one roof. It will help reduce crime and trace culprits as CCTV cameras will be installed at all entry and exit points along with all important locations in both Makli and Thatta towns.
