Thandiani is set to undergo a remarkable transformation into a premier eco-adventure tourism destination. The Thandiani ITZ aims to combine sustainable development with the conservation of the area’s natural ecosystem.
The said project covers an extensive area of 49 acres and will be implemented through a public-private partnership. Its primary objective is to position Thandiani as a sought-after tourist destination while ensuring the long-term preservation of its ecological treasures.
As per the details, the project will feature a wide range of modern facilities and amenities, including contemporary hotels, condo hotels, serviced apartments, recreational areas, shopping malls, commercial complexes, leisure parks, wellness centres, and family-oriented recreational spaces. These additions are expected to significantly enhance the tourist experience, attracting visitors from near and far.
The initiative is not only focused on boosting tourism but also on creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for the local communities. To ensure effective management and planning, the project will be divided into four key zones: the central village zone, the destination zone, the northern accommodation zone, and the southern accommodation zone.
