Lahore: The Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (TEPA) has prepared an eight-point agenda to develop three model roads in Lahore, news sources reported on December 30.

Under the plan, TEPA will develop Jail Road, Mall Road and Ferozepur Road with a model traffic and infrastructure plan. The plan will focus on eliminating encroachments, track management, zebra crossing plane marking, repairing traffic signals, and taking action against illegal parking stands. Moreover, the plan also consists of fixing cracks in the roads and repairing broken boards, developing of more roadside green spaces, fixing cat eyes and speed breakers, and widening of roads, where required. In this regard, the TEPA has formed a committee headed by Khak Antar Nima Salam to implement the eight-point agenda.

It is important to note that the selected three roads, which are also chosen for long-term signal-free roads in the city, are frequented by commuters due to the presence of important government buildings and civic facilities.
