According the details, this signal will be placed at Faisal Chowk on Mall Road, providing a safer and more convenient way for pedestrians to cross the road. TEPA Chief Engineer Iqrar Hussain shared the development during a briefing with Lahore Commissioner Zaid bin Maqsood and Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Tahir Farooq on Thursday. He highlighted that this initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance pedestrian crossings in the city, starting with the installation of the pelican signal in a high-traffic area.
Additionally, the TEPA Enforcement Squad has undergone upgrades modelled after the LDA Enforcement Squad, as per the vision of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz. The squad is now equipped with uniforms and motorbikes for field monitoring.
