Lahore: Punjab Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Sunday stated that the provincial government had approved the tenders for the construction of two major roads in the city, a news source reported. As per the details revealed, the project pertains to the construction of Zarar Shaheed Road in Lahore Cantonment and Baja Line Road in Mughalpura.

The minister revealed the information during a meeting held to review the pace of development work in different areas of the city. He stated that the collective cost of both tenders approved was around PKR 166 million.
During the meeting, Aleem directed the Cantonment Board, the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore (MCL), and the Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) to resolve construction-related issued at the earliest.

The minister further revealed that several development projects had reached completion status in Basti Syedan Shah, Qasim Pura, Shah Jamal, and Mian Mir Colony. He added that the areas of Jinnah Park, Dharmapura, Ahata Molchand, and Gondi Pir were undergoing uplift and several other development schemes were in the pipeline for these localities.
