Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sought biding documents from qualified firms for initiating development work of roads and other infrastructure in LDA Avenue-I Block K, according to a news source. The development of needed infrastructure and rehabilitation of roads in Block K will be completed in six months.

LDA Chief Engineering Habib-ul-Haq Randhawa provided his approval to the issuance of tenders. According to reports, the development work will be completed at a cost of PLR 90.3 million in six months, while the road work is estimated to cost PKR 40.6 million and will be completed within three months. The last date to submit bids for the said tenders is set for May 15.

Ever since the federal government lifted ban on the construction activities during the lockdown period, the LDA has issued tenders worth PKR 1.6 billion. In addition to inviting bids for the said projects, the civic agency has also requested funds worth PKR 290.69 million for landscaping, plantation and maintenance of the green areas in LDA Avenue-I.
