Lahore: The Government of Pakistan has decided to expand Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) to 10 more cities of Punjab, reported a news source. Applications for registration in these cities, i.e., Lahore, Gujranwala, Kasur, Bahawalpur, Sialkot, Jehlum, Vehari, Multan, Laiyah, and Rahim Yar Khan will be invited next year.
According to Punjab Housing Minister Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed, the Government of Punjab and Federal Housing Task Force has completed the preliminary work in this regard. Talking about the NPHP’s pilot project in Faisalabad, Rasheed said that the survey has been completed there and the government is looking to construct two-storey houses. In the meanwhile, preparations are being made for launching similar projects in additional 10 cities in Punjab.
He made it clear that the quality of residential units delivered in the project will not be compromised.
