Rawalakot: The Forest Department of Pakistan has announced that it will provide free saplings to all public and educational institutes during the spring plantation drive, reported a news source. The plantation drive is part of the Prime Minister’s 10 Billion Tree Tsunami project.

The department shared this information through a press release issued by Forest Department Divisional Forest Officer Sardar Muhammad Raffique Khan.
In addition to providing free saplings to these officers in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the department will also provide technical assistance. Some of the departments which will get free saplings and free assistance include all government offices, educational institutes and Pakistan Armed Forces.

The department will provide saplings to the public at discounted rates. The Federal Government of Pakistan has set the price, which is many times lower than the market rate.
The press release also states that the saplings provided by the Forest Department are high-quality. These plants are also compatible with the respective climate of the region.
