Gujrat: The construction of a temporary bridge over storm water drain in Karianwala is almost complete, and is likely to be opened for traffic in a couple of days.
According to a news source, the concrete bridge over the storm water drain had collapsed due to consistent downpours last week, and it was reportedly the only road link between a number of villages around Karianwala and Gujrat District.
Gujrat District Coordination Officer Mr Liaquat Ali Chattha has approached the chief minister’s office to get approval of funds to develop a new concrete bridge over the drain, the news source added.
