Gujranwala: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has set a tax collection target of PKR 4.25 billion for the Regional Tax Directorate Gujranwala, according to a news report. This is the largest target set for a month to any Regional Tax Office (RTO).
The target comprises of a target of PKR 1.8 billion for Sales Tax and PKR 2.21 billion for Withholding Tax (WHT). The target for the same month last year was PKR 4 billion. Now, PKR 250 million had been added to it.
According to the authorities, during the last three days of June, a tax emergency will be imposed and offices will remain open till 12 am.
