Lahore: The Government of Punjab has decided to increase tax on property registry by 100 per cent in the upcoming provincial budget. In this regard, a meeting was held with Provincial Finance Minister Mr Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman in the chair to discuss the increase in tax rate.
According to a news source, Lahore will be divided into five zones and all commercial and residential properties will be taxed according to the new tax rates. The provincial minister said that only Category ‘A’ 5-marla houses will be
charged property tax, but Category ‘A’ 3-marla houses will be exempt.
