Islamabad: According to Minister of State for Finance Rana Muhammad Afzal, the tax holiday granted to companies and businesses under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects will help establish industrial zones all over the country, reported a news source.
According to the Minister, the industrial sector has faced serious issues due to gas and electricity shortage in the past. The industrial sector has revived significantly due to better availability of gas and electricity in the country in the recent years. The tax holiday has provided a tax exemption for CPEC projects for a limited period of time. Apart from assisting in establishing new industrial zones, it will also help focus on utilising natural energy sources and dam projects and make living standards better for the common man.
