Lahore: The Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Tariq Mahmood has stated that the tax amnesty scheme, which will end in three days, is the last chance to legalise undeclared assets and must be availed by the business community, according to a news source.
He made these statements at a meeting of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), and added that this scheme would increase revenue, improve foreign exchange reserves, bring foreign investment to Pakistan, and enhance its economy significantly. The LCCI President Malik Tahir Javaid said that the Chamber welcomes this scheme and that the government should increase the deadline by at least one month so it can be availed to its best potential.
