Murree: The Punjab Government has constituted a task force for the protection of tourists in Murree, a news source reported. The government has once again deployed Dolphin Force in the area to provide a safe environment and restore the confidence of tourists.
These views were expressed by Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Dr Umar Jahangir and CPO Rawalpindi Abbas Ahsan during a meeting with the Assistant Commissioner and ASP Faria Fareed.
The participants were informed that a tourist help desk has been set up on Mall Road to address complaints of the tourists visiting the hill station.
The provincial government had earlier directed Murree’s administration to submit a report regarding anti-encroachment operations conducted in the area. Municipal Corporation Murree had been tasked to compile data in this regard.
Further action will be taken in light of the report as the Lahore High Court had already directed the departments concerned to remove all encroachments by the end of December.
