Tajikistan: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday (September 16) invited the Tajikistan business community and investors to invest in Pakistan, news sources reported.

The premier made these remarks while addressing the Joint Business Forum in Dushanbe during his two-day Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) investment tour. He also assured the investors of the provision of all the facilities and a business-friendly environment to promote their businesses in Pakistan. PM Khan also stated that Pakistan wishes to speed development on the CASA-1000 inexpensive electricity project, which will assist bridge the country’s energy demand and supply imbalance.

On the occasion, the premier also met with the heads of state attending the 20th SCO heads-of-state summit and stated that Pakistan wishes to strengthen ties with Central Asian countries. The increased corporation would be advantageous to countries and the region.
During the summit, PM Khan also met with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and discussed enhancement of bilateral trade in diverse sectors. He also emphasised the importance of the Trans-Afghan Railway Project, which connects Termez-Mazar-e-Sharif-Kabul-Jalalabad-Peshawar. He also extended the invitation to President Tokayev of Kazakhstan to visit Pakistan.
During his travel, the prime minister was also joined by a delegation of 67 Pakistani businessmen and investors who took part in the parlays.
