Karachi: Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gul Ahmed Textile Mills to start the ‘Million Trees by 2020’ campaign, according to sources. Under the agreement, SZABIST will take the responsibility to plant and maintain trees provided by Gul Ahmed Textile Mills.

This initiative was started by planting trees at SZABIST campus in Karachi. It allows both organisations to fulfil their social responsibility towards the country and is also the need of the hour with global warming on the rise.

Several officials from both organisations were in attendance at the MoU signing ceremony, some of which include Ms. Shahnaz Wazir Ali, President, SZABIST; Ms. Nasreen Haque, Vice President Planning & Finance, SZABIST; Ms. Naila Shah, Manager ERFA; Mr. Umer Khayyam, Deputy Manager Marketing, Gul Ahmed and Mr. Abdul Moeed, Marketing Executive, Gul Ahmed.
