Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has announced that a new system is in the pipeline for issuing land-ownership deeds, a news source reported.

Buzdar informed a meeting that financial institutions concerned will host separate counters to issue the ownership deeds in order to facilitate the public.
He added that the provincial government would launch an online system so people can seek land ownership deeds with ease. He revealed that the said online system will begin operating from July 1, 2019.

Additionally, the CM directed the authorities concerned to initiate a system for depositing dues at every land record centre. He said that they should complete the project expanding the scope of these centres as soon as possible.
Buzdar added that all government buildings should have land record centres on a permanent basis, and that no delay would be tolerated in resolving public complaints related to revenue.

During the meeting, the CM also called for strict monitoring of the ongoing development projects in the province to ensure their transparency. He said that authorities concerned should provide him with daily updates on the projects’ progress. He added the provincial government will not tolerate wastage of allocated resources and delays in execution of the projects.
