Islamabad: Managing Director for Pakistan Baitul Mall (PBM) Aon Abbas has stated that 10,000 orphans and street children will be registered into PBM’s Sweet Homes by next year, quoted a news source. This decision comes in line with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision.

Abbas gave the statement during the inauguration of Sweet Home in Tehsil Jamrud. He further commented that the children will have access to free food, lodging, education, and medical facilities at Sweet Homes. He added that the state plays its role as a parent to these underprivileged children, but the society as a whole also has to come forward. Fifty children were registered into the inaugurated Sweet Homes, he added.

He also assured that the Sweet Homes project will be expanded to other districts of FATA according to requirements. Meanwhile, 4,000 orphan children have access to premium facilities in 38 Sweet Homes belonging to PBM throughout the country. The construction of 26 more Sweet Homes is underway and will be completed by March 2019.
