Peshawar: The PC-I for the land acquisition of the Swat Motorway Project – Phase II has been tabled before the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for its approval, according to a news source published today (July 3).

This information was revealed on Thursday during a progress review meeting that was chaired by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan. The session attendees reviewed the progress made so far on the development of the Swat Motorway’s Phase I, and the commencement of development work for the Phase II of the Swat Motorway Project. The meeting also deliberated the progress on the Peshawar to Dera Ismail Khan Motorway project’s feasibility study.

The participants were informed that the completion of the phase I of the Swat Motorway project was in its final stages, while the construction work for the road base, bridges, and main tunnels had been completed. The project is expected to be finished by August.
Regarding the Peshawar to Dera Ismail Khan Motorway project, the meeting was informed that the PC-II for the feasibility study had already been approved, while the PC-I for the commercial and financial feasibility of the project was expected to be completed by September later this year.
