Swabi: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan has said the Swat Expressway would be completed by the end of this year, according to a news report. The project will provide transport to the locals and facilitate tourists in the region. The CM said this at the inauguration of the south tunnel in Zulam Kot area near Chakdara.
Work on the PKR 34 billion project had begun during the last PTI government. It is an 80 kilometre project that would have seven interchanges from Karnal Sher Khan Interchange to Chakdar. 50 kilometres of road up to Katlang has already been completed, while the remaining distance up to Chakdara will be completed by December.
