Multan: Mayor Multan Naveed ul Haq Arain has instructed the relevant departments to survey 600 dilapidated buildings in the city, according to a news report. He also gave instructions to plan for alternative residences for the people living in these buildings.
According to details, the Mayor has instructed Chief Officer and Municipal Officer Planning to prepare a list of all the dilapidated buildings after the survey throughout the city, including the inner city. He stated residence in dilapidated buildings can be extremely dangerous and that no negligence will be tolerated regarding the safety of citizens.
