Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan asked the federal and provincial governments and the Capital Development Authority to make policies for low cost housing schemes, construction of social centers and rehabilitation of slums, reports a news source.
According to details, the directives were given during the hearing of the case filed by Pakistan Workers Party regarding the demolition of a katchi abadi in Sector I-10. Reportedly, the apex court issued a similar notice one year ago but never heard back from the authorities concerned.
