Islamabad: The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis Jawad Sohrab Malik has officially inaugurated ‘Support Desks for Overseas Pakistanis’ within the premises of the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICT) offices and at the One Window facility of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad, a news source reported on September 26.

As per the details, this initiative is aimed at enhancing support for overseas Pakistanis and addressing their concerns. Collaborative discussions between SAPM Malik and the CDA Chairman have resulted in the official launch of these support desks, with operations commencing this Monday.
SAPM Malik lauded the pertinent departments for achieving this significant milestone, highlighting the government’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the rights and interests of non-resident Pakistanis. The Support Desk at CDA will provide dedicated services encompassing estate management, building control, land and rehabilitation matters, as well as revenue-related issues. Furthermore, a designated information official will be available to offer procedural guidance.

Moreover, at the ICT Administration Support Desk, a seamless provision of services such as issuing International Driving Permits, Arms Licenses, and Domiciles will be ensured. To guarantee accessibility, these desks will operate during regular office hours and maintain round-the-clock availability through various communication channels, including WhatsApp, dedicated landlines, and hotlines.
