Faisalabad: Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General (DG) Muhammad Sohail Khawaja has said that the civic agency has forwarded a summary to the Punjab government regarding the proposed regularization of all illegal housing schemes developed before 2010 in the city, a news source reported.
He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting with a delegation of private builders and developers. The delegation was led by Zafar Iqbal Sindhu. Its members included Riasat Ali Dogar, Saif Hashmi, Amir Nazir, Raza Hamayun, Imran Venus, Sheikh Ayub, Afzal Gul, Mubashir Naseem Chaudhry, Javed Bhatti, Ghulam Murtaza, and Muhammad Tahir.

Addressing the delegation, FDA Chairman Chaudhry Latif Nazar said that the civic agency is extending its support to the managements of all authorized housing projects. He further asked the developers of these colonies to contact FDA support center in case of any queries or concerns.
FDA DG Muhammad Sohail Khawaja said that the preparation of Faisalabad Master Plan is in its final phase, adding that new residential projects will no longer require no-objection certificates from the irrigation and environmental departments following the implementation of the master plan.
