Implemented under the National Highway Authority (NHA), the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M-6) is 300 kilometres long. Also called the M-6 Motorway, it would start from Sukkur, pass through Khairpur, Naushehro Feroze, Nawab Shah, Matiari, Hala, and Jamshoro, and finally reach Hyderabad. The project will cost an estimated PKR 204.28 billion and take around 33 months to complete.

Bajwa highlighted that the project’s completion would allow people to travel on the entire eastern CPEC route from Peshawar to Karachi. The M-6 Motorway would also decrease the travel time between Sukkur and Hyderabad; cutting it down by almost half of the existing travel time, he added.
The government has already announced that the M-6 Motorway project would be completed via the help of private sector on a Built-Operate-Transfer (BOT) basis, Bajwa said.
