Karachi: Sindh Water Commission (SWC) has directed the owners of sugar mills in Shaheed Benazirabad District to install water treatment plants within three months, stated a news report. The decision was taken during a meeting held with SWC Head Amir Hani Muslim in the chair, which was also attended by the sugar mill owners.
Muslim expressed grievance over the sugar mill’s waste causing harm to the environment. To this, the owners asked for time to install water treatment plans. The SWC gave them a three-month deadline to install water treatment plants.
