Multan: Water sampling in the second phase of scrutiny of quality drinking water in Punjab will begin from June 1, and substandard water filtration plants will be closed, according to a news source. Samples will be obtained from 1,150 water filtration plants in hospitals, jails, educational institutions, parks, and government departments.
According to details, the sampling teams have been instructed to complete the sampling within seven days and deliver the samples to laboratories in 15 days. The filtration plants not meeting the standards will be closed down.
Pakistan Food Authority (PFA) is also conducting a special water safety training for the purpose.
