Lahore: The Punjab Land Revenue Authority (PLRA) has decided to empower sub-registrars to issue registry certificates and approve land mutations – at the same time, reports the news source.

Previously, the tehsildar and Assistant Director Land Revenue (ADLR) were responsible for the same.
According to the details shared, as many as 20 sub-registrars will be authorised to issue registry and mutation certificates in the first phase. To facilitate the officials, an online system will be provided to sub-registrars to expedite the land mutation approvals.

Director General (DG) PLRA, Mr Moazzam Iqbal Sipra stated that this development will resolve the problems faced by people. Previously, people had to go from pillar to post to get the registry and mutation certificates. With the online application system, the process is expected to be streamlined and quick.
