The Islamabad Technopolis would include 140 acres near the National Institute of Health (NIH) Colony in Chak Shahzad. Following permission from the Capital Development Authority (CDA), civil construction work on the project will begin. It was also revealed that the STZA would build a cutting-edge centre to foster talent and serve as the foundation for the country’s digital infrastructure. The Islamabad Technopolis will serve as a regulatory, licensing, and compliance hub for other technological zones built across the country. The STZA has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with a Russian firm, Skolkovo Foundation, to expand technology sector collaboration. The firm will supply technological infrastructure and expertise to foster stronger ties between Pakistani and Russian technological and scientific institutions.
