Lahore: The Metropolitan Corporation has decided to install streetlights on 214 major roads of the city, a news source reported. This will be done soon after the transitions in the local bodies are complete. The project has been estimated to cost PKR 170 million.
The Metropolitan Corporation Administrator Dr. Mujataba Paracha has instructed the corporation staff to increase its activities around the city.
The Metropolitan Corporation Chief Officer (CO) Mahmood Masood has directed the relevant officials to prepare the feasibility report for the installation of the streetlights within a week. He gave the instructions in a meeting held to discuss the matter of streetlights on the city’s roads.
He further instructed the relevant staff to ensure the repair of five streetlight cranes within a week. In the same duration, the complete installation of streetlights should be ensured on 13 central roads of Lahore.
