Islamabad: The authorities concerned on Wednesday said they had identified 1,412 properties belonging to the federal government – a news source reported.
A report in this regard was presented to Prime Minister Imran Khan at a meeting. The officials said that at least 112 of the said properties had been identified. They explained that the land measured over 44,000 kanals and was worth billions of rupees.

Furthermore, forty three properties in Punjab and 91 properties in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been identified. The officials said that they were deliberating on the future use of the said properties.
The prime minister ordered to expedite the identification process of all government-owned land. He also called for strict action against under-performing officials.

He further said that alternative lodging places would be provided to the affectees of land grabbing. He also directed timely action against the encroaching land mafia.
