Islamabad: The Privatisation Commission on Monday notified its receipt of PKR 156.45 million during an auction event held for the sale of 26 government properties, a news source reported. According to the details revealed, the commission fetched the said amount against a target amount of PKR 140.525 set for five state-owned enterprises.

The properties auctioned off included two penthouses in the Islamabad Country Club and two apartments; each located in the Centaurus Mall and PHA Apartments. The officials concerned also sold a chunk of land in the Pir Sohawa area.
The reserve price for a single penthouses had been set at PKR 30 million; PKR 60 million for the Centaurus Mall apartment and PKR 15 million for the PHA apartment. The Pir Sohawa land carried a reserve price of PKR 5.5 million.

The auctions will continue throughout the month in various cities of the country. The next round is scheduled to take place tomorrow (September 9) at 9:30 AM in Faletti’s Hotel, 24 Egerton Road, Lahore.
