Taxila: The local administration has executed its second operation within the week to retrieve state land from stone crushers illegally quarrying limestone in Hassan Abdal, according to news sources.
While talking to the media, the Assistant Commissioner (AC) Adnan Anjum Raja revealed that these stone crushers had been quarrying limestone spanning over 46.03 acres of state land on an expired lease for a long time. He further said that the land used for the transportation of these stones also belonged to the state. This illegal land occupation was blocking the local villagers’ access to their homes and creating problems with the movement of dumpers, trucks, and trailers.
