Lahore: The KSE-100 index increased by 0.8%, by 42,842 level on Week on Week (WoW) basis, , however, average daily volumes declined by 27% WoW to USD 78 million, according to a news report.. Other sectors exhibited promising statistics. Cement sales for July 2018 registered a 5% Year on Year growth. Exports in cement increased by 9%.
Other sectors that recorded higher returns included i) Glass and Ceramics up by 11.2%, ii) Automobile Assembler up by 3.6%, iii) Textile Composite up by 1.3%; all measures are taken in WoW terms.
The benchmark index, KSE-100 decreased in volume, however, its value increased by 0.8%. In this way, the cement, glass and ceramics, automobile assembler, and textile composite all outperformed the benchmark.
