Karachi: The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) is undertaking a large-scale rehabilitation of its aging gas distribution network across Karachi to enhance the reliability and efficiency of gas supply for domestic consumers. The insights have been drawn from an article early this week.

As per the details, the company is currently replacing old pipelines and addressing leakages across a 2,500-km distribution network. The work is progressing rapidly in densely populated areas such as North Nazimabad, North Karachi, and Lyari. This initiative aims to resolve low gas pressure issues, particularly during peak cooking hours, ensuring consistent supply for residents. The project is part of SSGC’s broader strategy to modernize Karachi’s gas infrastructure.
