The Task Force of the Customer Relations Department carried out a raid in several areas, including Shadman, where SSGC had previously identified over 300 registered customers involved in gas theft. An SSGC press release revealed that the culprits were found clamping the main line with rubber pipes.
Officials from the SSGC also conducted raids in different areas across Sindh. These areas included Shikarpur, Mehar Town, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Karachi West. The officials identified more than 50 illegal clamps and removed them. The culprits in these areas had punctured the SSGC main line.
During the course of action, the SSGC team disconnected the gas supply, and seized materials – including clamps, rubber pipes, and other articles – used for the gas theft.
