Lahore: The Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) Steering Committee Chairman Khawaja Ahmad Hassan, who is also Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister, has said that the pace of OLMT track work has been increased, according a news report.
According to Khawaja Ahmad Hassan, the Chinese company working on the project has set 400 people to work on laying of tracks between Dera Gujran Station Number 1 and Nicholson Road Station Number 10. He was chairing a meeting called to observe the progress of work on OLMT.
The meeting was told that overall, 86.20% of construction work for OLMT is complete. Construction from Dera Gujran to Chauburji, under Package 1, is 90.44% complete. From Chauburji to Ali Town, under Package 2, the work is 80.38% complete. Under Package 3 (the depot), development work has been completed by 86.91%, and under Package 4 (Stabling Yard), 87.89% work has been completed.
The project’s electrical and mechanical work is also 50.39% complete.
